Folks, for the 2nd year in a row we're moving Boggle outside for the nice weather and kicking it off with the first official day of Summer! (Which happens to be the longest day of the year so we have plenty of light to play into the wee hours.)

That's right, the 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Boggle Picnic!

This went flawlessly last year all Summer so we're gonna follow the same format:

* On a Thursday for the 1st time ever since that's when Summer Solstice happens to be.

* 6:30 PM so we get in enough Boggle before dark (you can show up later if you need to)

* We'll be playing on the (slightly hard) ground of Washington Square Park. Meet on the lawn JUST South and East of the Garibaldi statue. If you don't know the park the easiest way to find it is to enter from the South on Laguardia Place and walk North until you see a statue.

* Look for the Red and white balloons.

* Everyone needs to bring a food item or some such. Last year we had amazing spreads and even some awesome homemade Boggle cupcakes from Corrine.

Sign up with what you're bringing here:

* No "Maybe" RSVPs this month. I need to know how many people to have food for and once I get you to sign up for bringing a food item I need to know that you're going to show up and feed us. :)

* In case of rain? Um... we'll play that one by ear. I'll keep an eye on the weather and email everyone a few days in advance if we have to move.

Oh, and June's theme? Anything to do with "parenting" (in honor of this month's Father's Day and last month's "Mother's Day"

For all you new folks, here's what the "theme" is for. You play Boggle as you always would. But if you see a word related to the month's theme, make special note of it. At the end of the night we gather up all the theme words and the best one wins a cheap, useless prize.

Also, when it comes to theme words, all rules are out the door -- proper nouns are allowed, mispellings, words that are *almost* there... all you have to do is convince me and make me laugh. ;)

Again, everyone needs to bring a food item so make sure to sign up for an item here.
